The Allenwood Church

1.  Our congregation is made up of  a mixture of elderly, middle-age, families with children (of various ages) and individuals. But regardless of age, gender, social status or race, those in Christ are one "spiritual family" together!

2.  Our service is casual. Some come in their "Sunday best" others more casual.  Whatever is modest and allows you to worship God freely is best.

3.  One of the first and most common comments  we hear from visitor's is regarding the "friendliness" of the people.  You can expect to receive a "friendly" greeting from the church body.  We also have visitors packet with more information that we try to give out.

4.  We have nursery care for babies and a children's program during the service  for ages (roughly) 4-8.  Feel free to take them downstairs at any point during the service.  We are looking into some type of youth ministry for the fall of 2011.

5.  Our worship in music is a mixture of hymns and praise choruses.  We also have some gifted singers who provide special music at times.  Our goal in whatever "style" we use is to glorify and worship God, exalting the name of Jesus Christ.

6.  Our Pastor (Ben) is 28 yrs old, but has a strong preaching and teaching gift, with a heart to boldly call people to repentance and faith in Christ.  His passion is to see God's people truly grow in Christ and become more like Christ.  He is serious regarding proclaiming scripture in the authority and anointing of the Spirit. 

7.   If you are hungry to know God better, walk more closely with Christ and gain a richer knowledge of the Word leading to a fuller experience and appreciation of God's grace, power and blessing in your life-then we trust you will find this church to be a blessing to your life.
